Frequently Asked Questions

Spend ₹1 lakh in a card year and RBL waives the next year's ₹999 + GST fee. Check that excluded spends like rent and fuel count before you rely on them.

One month on Binge, counted honestly

Say you spend ₹6,000 online and ₹10,000 at shops in a month, and take a friend to a film. Here is what RBL's Binge card gives you:

  • ₹6,000 online at 12 Reward Points per ₹100: 720 points.
  • ₹10,000 offline at 1 point per ₹100: 100 points.
  • One BookMyShow buy-one-get-one, worth up to ₹200.

The ₹200 is real money. The 820 points are harder to price, because RBL does not publish what a point is worth in our record, and users report a ₹99 + GST fee each time they redeem. So most of this card's value sits in the movie offer, not the points.

This page is about Binge only. RBL also sells the Play and Popcorn movie cards, which have different fees and terms.

Where 12X stops

The online lane has a monthly cap. Our record lists it as 800 points in one place and as a ₹200 figure in another, so confirm it in the MITC. If the cap is 800 points, it fills at about ₹6,667 of online spend. Anything above earns nothing extra, so do not plan a big sale month around "12X".

Cash, education, EMI, fuel, government payments, insurance, rent, utilities and wallet loads earn no points at all.

The ₹999 fee and the ₹1 lakh waiver

Binge costs ₹999 + GST to join and the same each year, about ₹1,179 with tax. Spend ₹1 lakh in a year and next year's fee is waived. That is about ₹8,333 a month, and excluded spends like rent and fuel may not count toward it.

Pay the fee and spend ₹2,000 in the first 30 days and you get 4,000 welcome points. Cards issued first-year-free do not get them.

The movie maths is simple. At the full ₹200 saving, six BookMyShow uses a year cover the fee. Count only the months you would have bought the second ticket anyway.

What Binge lost, and what users complain about

Binge used to include airport lounge visits. RBL ended that from 1 July 2025. The card is on Mastercard only, so it cannot be used on UPI.

Our sentiment report has no thread that names Binge directly, so take user views as RBL-wide. The common complaints are agents promising lifetime free and a fee posting later, the redemption fee with no direct statement credit, and cards issued without being asked for. Users do like RBL's instant discounts during Amazon, Flipkart and Swiggy sales.

Keep it, skip it, or ask for LTF?

Keep Binge if you watch a film most months and got it lifetime free, in writing. Pay ₹999 for it only if you will use the BookMyShow offer at least six times a year. For plain online cashback with no redemption step, users prefer Cashback SBI Card. For broader online rewards, they point to HDFC Millennia.
