Frequently Asked Questions

BOBCARD's income and age rules are not in our data, so check the application page. If you are turned down, the FD-backed Easy is issued against a Bank of Baroda fixed deposit and has no fee.

Easy or Eterna: what you are actually getting

Many people who end up with BOBCARD Easy did not ask for it. Users in several threads describe applying for BOBCARD Eterna or Premier and finding Easy, often the RuPay version, in the BOBCARD app after approval. So start with the difference. BOBCARD Eterna is the reward card with lounges. Easy is Bank of Baroda's entry card: 1% back at best, no lounges, and a low fee that is now free for the first year.

This page is the BOBCARD Easy. It is not Axis Bank's MY Zone Easy or Insta Easy, which turn up in the same searches.

BOB Easy credit card benefits, in rupees

Points earn per ₹100 and redeem as cashback at ₹0.20 each.

  • Departmental stores and movies: 5 points per ₹100, so 1%. These two share a cap of 1,000 points per statement cycle, worth ₹200, reached at ₹20,000.
  • Everything else: 1 point per ₹100, so 0.2%.
  • Fuel: no points. You get a 1% surcharge waiver on ₹400 to ₹5,000 fills, up to ₹250 per cycle.
  • Welcome: 500 points (₹100) for spending ₹5,000 in the first 60 days.

A ₹15,000 month with ₹5,000 at stores and movies earns 350 points, about ₹70. That is roughly 0.5%. Users say they keep the card for BOBCARD's instant discounts during Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra sales, not for the points.

What changed on 1 September 2026

From that date, BOBCARD Easy has no joining or first-year fee. From year two it costs ₹500 + GST, waived if you spend ₹35,000 in the card anniversary year, under ₹3,000 a month. Earlier, the ₹500 joining fee was waived on ₹6,000 spend in 60 days. The FD-backed version of Easy has no fee at all.

Is BOB Easy card RuPay?

The card on BOBCARD's page is Visa, and Visa credit cards cannot be used on UPI. Users regularly report holding a RuPay Easy and using it for small UPI payments. Ask BOBCARD which network you will get before you accept, and check the card name on the consent form before you e-sign.

The limit problem

The most repeated complaint is the credit limit. Users report starting limits of ₹10,000 to ₹32,500 that barely move, even with a strong credit score. A ₹25,000 limit makes a big purchase hard and keeps your utilisation high. Users also say BOBCARD allows one card per customer, so holding Easy can block a later Eterna application until you upgrade or close it.

Keep it for sale offers, not rewards

Take it if you want a free card to hold for Bank of Baroda sale offers, or a RuPay card for small UPI spends. At ₹0 for year one, there is little to lose.

Skip it if you want real rewards, lounges or a high limit. Eterna is the BOBCARD to aim for, and users say Amazon Pay ICICI tends to come with higher starting limits. More on the upgrade: our BOB Eterna detailed review.
