Axis Bank Magnus Credit CardYou cannot apply openly; it is by invitation. Users report upgrades from HDFC cards with a high limit and large spends over the previous six months, relationship-banking offers, and pre-approved offers in net banking.
Put ₹1,00,000 of ordinary spends on HDFC Infinia Metal in a month and you earn about 3,333 Reward Points. The rate is 5 points per ₹150, not per ₹100. Redeem them on SmartBuy flights and hotels at ₹1 a point and that month is worth about ₹3,333, a 3.33% return before any accelerated earn.
Keep that up for a year and you spend ₹12 lakh. You earn about 40,000 points, plus 12,500 renewal points, and you clear the ₹10 lakh spend that waives the ₹12,500 + GST renewal fee. On paper, a very good year. The complication is a second, higher spend line that users say decides whether you keep the card at all, covered below.
This is the Metal Edition, the only Infinia HDFC now issues. Users report the old plastic Infinia was withdrawn and holders moved to metal.
SmartBuy is where Infinia's big numbers come from. Flights, hotels and shopping through the portal earn up to 10X, so up to 50 points per ₹150. That is a ceiling, not a rate you get on everything:
Users also report SmartBuy fares and room rates sometimes being higher than on the airline or hotel's own site. Check both before you book; a ₹2,000 price gap cancels ₹2,000 of points.
Monzy's records and user reports describe continuation criteria of about ₹18 lakh a year from April 2026, and holders who missed it say they got downgrade notices. The bank page we checked in October 2026 still shows only the ₹10 lakh fee waiver. Treat them as two rules: ₹10 lakh saves the fee, while ₹18 lakh, about ₹1.5 lakh a month, is what users say HDFC now expects.
Users also report the metal card's magnetic strip wearing out, with repeat replacements.
Infinia is invite only. Users describe getting it by upgrading from a high-limit HDFC card with large recent spends, through relationship banking, or through pre-approved offers.
It still makes sense if you spend ₹18 lakh or more a year, fly often, and redeem on flights and hotels. If your spend sits between ₹8 lakh and ₹15 lakh, users point to Diners Club Black Metal, which shares the SmartBuy engine and waives its fee at ₹8 lakh.
