Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on your card. Kiwi lists YES Bank (Klick), Punjab National Bank (PNB Kiwi) and AU Small Finance Bank (KOSMO) as partners.

Kiwi, Klick, KOSMO: which card is this?

Kiwi is an app, not a bank. The RuPay credit card inside it comes from a partner bank, and Kiwi currently lists three: YES Bank's Klick Credit Card, PNB Kiwi from Punjab National Bank, and AU's KOSMO Credit Card. This page covers what Kiwi itself pays: the UPI cashback and the Neon upgrade. Bank-side terms like fuel waivers, interest and disputes sit with whichever bank issued your card.

Many people search for an "Axis Kiwi credit card". Kiwi's site, as checked in October 2026, does not list Axis as a partner, so we have no Axis version on record.

Almost every Reddit thread in our sentiment report is about the YES Bank card, so read the user feedback below with that in mind.

1.5% free, 5% paid

The base card is lifetime free and pays 1.5% cashback on UPI Scan & Pay at merchants. The 5% figure comes from Kiwi Neon, a paid membership. Our record ties the 5% to eligible annual spend above ₹1.5 lakh. Users describe a ladder that starts near 2% and steps up as annual spend crosses ₹50,000, ₹1 lakh and ₹1.5 lakh; Kiwi's page confirms only "5% with Neon".

What that means in rupees at ₹1.5 lakh a year of merchant UPI:

  • Free tier at 1.5%: about ₹2,250.
  • Neon at 5%: up to ₹7,500, minus the Neon price.

That gap of up to ₹5,250 is the most Neon can be worth to you. Check the price in the app first. One January 2026 review's advice: skip Neon unless you spend at least ₹12,500 a month.

The ₹100 rule since June 2025

From 1 June 2025, Kiwi counts rewards only on amounts in multiples of ₹100. Our reading: a ₹250 payment earns on ₹200, and an ₹80 payment earns nothing. If your UPI day is ₹30 tea and ₹60 auto rides, your real rate falls well below 1.5%.

Rewards come as Kiwis. You need at least 500 to redeem, in multiples of 500. Fuel, utilities, government payments, education, insurance, financial services and gift cards earn nothing.

Kiwi credit card on UPI: where it fails

Five threads say small shops switch off RuPay credit on their QR codes to avoid fees, so the card can fail at exactly the places you use most. Seven threads call support close to non-existent, and the worst story in our report is a failed ₹1.04 lakh payment that took three months to recover while the user was bounced between Kiwi and the bank. Know which bank issued your card before you need help.

Monzy's verdict on Kiwi

Get the free tier if you scan merchant QR codes daily in amounts of ₹100 and above. 1.5% on UPI with no fee is a good deal. Buy Neon only if you will clear ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh a year on merchant UPI.

Skip it if your spending is mostly tiny payments, or if reliable support matters to you. For the full Reddit picture, read our Kiwi credit card review.
