Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, one domestic visit a quarter, but only if you spent ₹35,000 or more (excluding rent) in the previous calendar quarter.

A month that fills every cap

You may know this card as the Bajaj Finserv RBL Bank Platinum LifeEasy SuperCard. This page covers the Platinum LifeEasy as RBL lists it today, at ₹1,999 + GST a year.

LifeEasy only pays well if you spend small, steady amounts in four places. Here is the month it is built for:

  • ₹2,000 of fuel at 10%: ₹200, the monthly cap.
  • ₹2,000 on Ola and Uber at 10%: ₹200, the monthly cap.
  • ₹4,000 of groceries at 5%: ₹200, the monthly cap.
  • One BookMyShow 1+1 booking: up to ₹200 off.

That is up to ₹800 back on ₹8,000 of spend. Do that every month and you get about ₹9,600 back in a year, roughly four times the fee (about ₹2,359 with GST). Spend more in any category and the extra earns nothing more. Cashback arrives as reward points, not straight to your statement.

Is the fuel cap shared with Ola and Uber?

RBL's product page lists three separate ₹200 caps. But its own "how it adds up" table groups fuel and Ola/Uber under one ₹200 line. If that is one shared cap, the most you earn from fuel and cabs together is ₹200, and the month above drops to ₹600. Ask RBL which applies before you plan around it.

There is a second oddity. RBL's general terms list "Fuel & Auto" as not eligible for rewards from 15 October 2024, while this card advertises 10% on fuel. Check that the fuel cashback actually posts on your first statement.

The ₹3.5 lakh waiver and the gated lounge

Next year's fee is waived only if you spend ₹3,50,000 in a year, about ₹29,000 a month. Most people who fit the four-cap pattern above spend far less, so treat the fee as a real yearly cost.

Other benefits come with their own conditions:

  • One domestic lounge visit a quarter, but only after ₹35,000 of spend (rent excluded) in the previous quarter.
  • ₹2,000 of welcome vouchers after you pay the fee and spend ₹2,000 in 30 days. First-year-free cards get none.
  • A ₹1,000 gift voucher at ₹2,50,000 of annual spend.
  • Fuel surcharge waiver up to ₹150 a month on fills of ₹500 to ₹4,000.

Sold on a call as free?

The sentiment report on this card is negative, and the reason is mostly not the card. In 7 of 13 threads, users describe telecallers promising free vouchers, lounge access or a lifetime-free card. Then ₹2,000 + GST appeared on the statement. Users also say fee reversals were refused and GST was not refunded.

If you are offered LifeEasy on a call, ask for the fee, the waiver threshold and the voucher conditions by SMS or email first. If you want out, users report IVR loops and tickets closed without a fix, so request closure in writing and keep the reference number.

So, should you get LifeEasy?

Get it if you can fill at least two of the three cashback caps every month and you watch a film a month. Then it pays for itself even without the waiver.

Skip it if your fuel or cab spend is much higher than ₹2,000 a month, since the cap stops you early. Users in the report prefer the HPCL Energie BOBCARD for simpler fuel savings. Within RBL, the Platinum TravelEasy costs ₹999 and covers fuel and cabs too. For a wider list, see our fuel credit cards guide.
