Frequently Asked Questions

Axis does not publish a fixed value. Compare the cash fare with the points fare on your route to work out what a point is worth to you.

A ₹25,000 month on the Voyage card

Say you book one ₹10,000 SpiceJet trip on the SpiceJet app, order ₹3,000 of food online, pay ₹2,000 of bills online and spend ₹10,000 on everything else. Here is what the SpiceJet Axis Bank Voyage card pays you, in SpiceClub points:

  • SpiceJet booking: 9 points per ₹100, so 900 points. Axis says up to 18 per ₹100 with the SpiceClub Silver benefit, which would make it 1,800.
  • Food delivery and bills: 3 points per ₹100 on select online merchants, so 150 points.
  • Everything else: 1.5 points per ₹100, so 150 points.

That is 1,200 points in a normal month, or up to about 2,100 with the Silver boost. A ₹25,000 month also adds up to ₹75,000 in a quarter, enough to unlock a domestic lounge visit for the next quarter.

What we cannot tell you is what those points are worth in rupees. Axis's page does not state a fixed value, and SpiceClub redemptions vary by route and fare. That uncertainty is the main reason Reddit's view of this card is negative.

Price the redemption before you trust the points

Users across 6 threads say SpiceClub points buy less than they expected. Before you redeem, open the same flight twice: once as a cash fare, once as a points or points-plus-cash fare. Divide the rupees you save by the points you spend. That is your real value per point on that route.

Users also report the points stay inside SpiceClub, with no transfer to hotel programmes or other airlines. That is the most common reason users pick Axis Horizon or Atlas instead. Redeem regularly; a large balance is only useful if you keep flying SpiceJet.

The SpiceJet risk

Five threads in our research raise flight cancellations, delays and slow refunds. A card whose whole value sits in one airline's loyalty programme carries that airline's risk. If a SpiceJet flight you paid for on this card is cancelled, pay at least the undisputed amount on your card bill by the due date, chase the refund in writing, and raise a dispute with Axis if SpiceJet misses its own timeline. A pending refund does not stop interest or late fees.

Fees and the small print

  • ₹750 + GST to join and every year after, with no spend-based waiver. Budget about ₹885 a year.
  • 4 domestic lounge visits a year, each unlocked by ₹50,000 of spend in the previous quarter.
  • Milestone benefits at ₹1 lakh and ₹2 lakh of annual spend, and a SpiceJet voucher on activation. Check the current amounts on Axis's page.
  • Fuel, wallet loads and EMI transactions earn nothing. The fuel surcharge waiver covers fills of ₹400 to ₹4,000, up to ₹400 a month.
  • Forex markup is 3.5% in our records.

Axis's page also shows two terms-update notices, dated 20 June 2025 and 28 August 2026. Read the current terms, not older reviews.

The bottom line on SpiceJet Voyage

Keep it if SpiceJet is the main airline on your route, you book direct on its app or website, and you redeem points as you earn them. For that flyer, a ₹750 card that pays 9 points per ₹100 on fares can make sense.

For almost everyone else, a card with flexible points or plain cashback pays more and carries less airline risk. Frequent SpiceJet flyers who spend more can also look at the higher-tier SpiceJet Axis Bank Voyage Black, whose terms differ from this card.
