Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card8 points per ₹400 on education payments, so a ₹50,000 fee earns 1,000 points, provided the payment codes as education.
EasySaver makes sense for one kind of person: someone who pays school or college fees, or a steady stream of bills, by card and wants points on them. For almost everything else you buy, it earns very little. If neither education nor bills are a big part of your card spend, the ₹499 + GST yearly fee is hard to earn back.
Most cards quote rewards per ₹100. RBL quotes EasySaver per ₹400, which makes the numbers look bigger than they are.
So a ₹50,000 school fee earns 1,000 points, while ₹10,000 of ordinary shopping earns only 25. Cash, EMI, fuel, government payments, insurance, rent and wallet loads earn nothing. RBL does not state a rupee value per point in our record, so we cannot turn these into a percentage. Check how your school or biller is coded on tools.monzy.co/mcc before relying on the 8x lane.
The joining and annual fees are ₹499 + GST each, about ₹589 with tax. Pay the fee and spend ₹2,000 in the first 30 days and you get 1,000 welcome points; first-year-free cards do not get them. The fuel surcharge waiver is up to ₹100, on transactions of ₹500 to ₹4,000. Our record does not confirm a spend-based fee waiver or the forex markup, so check the MITC.
Users of RBL cards in general report a ₹99 + GST charge each time they redeem points. If that applies to your card, redeem once or twice a year after the big fee payments, not every month.
The loudest RBL complaint in our sentiment data is telecallers offering a free upgrade or limit increase that turns out to be a paid card. Never share an OTP on an incoming call, and only accept a change you have in writing. Check your first statement for any fee you were told would not apply.
Hold it as a second card for education fees and bills, if RBL approves you easily and you will redeem in large batches. For everyday spending, a card that credits cashback straight to your bill, such as Amazon Pay ICICI, is simpler. We found no Reddit thread about EasySaver itself, so the user view here is RBL-wide.
