Mayura Metal CardIt is invitation only, usually offered to IDFC FIRST private banking clients. Users holding IDFC Wealth without a private banking relationship report no clear route to an invite.
That is the number that matters on the IDFC FIRST Private card: ₹50,000 + GST in year one, about ₹59,000. After that, the renewal is ₹25,000 + GST, about ₹29,500 a year, with no spend-based waiver.
New cards issued on or after 17 July 2026 get 50,000 reward points as a commencement benefit, which softens year one. Users on Reddit sum it up as "fees 60k, you get 50,000 back in points". What those points are worth depends on how you redeem them, and IDFC does not state a fixed value in our record.
You cannot apply for this card. IDFC FIRST offers it by invitation, usually to its private banking clients. So the useful question is: if your relationship manager offers it, should you take it?
Some users also report airport spa access. It is not in our record, so confirm with your RM before you count it.
All rates are per ₹100:
That last line is how many holders justify the card. Large insurance premiums, rent and government payments earn nothing on many premium cards. Here they still earn 1X.
Spend milestones were discontinued on 17 July 2026, so heavy spending earns nothing beyond the base rate.
Compared with a card charging 3.5%, 0% forex saves ₹3,500 on every ₹1,00,000 spent abroad. For forex alone to cover the ₹29,500 renewal, you need about ₹8.4 lakh of foreign spend a year. Add the lounges and the 1X on bills, and the bar drops, but it stays high.
Say yes if you already bank privately with IDFC, spend several lakh abroad each year, fly often enough to use unlimited lounges, and pay large bills other cards do not reward. For that person, the forex saving alone does a lot of the work.
Say no if you want airmile transfers or a fee that disappears with spend. And if you want 0% forex without a private banking relationship, IDFC's public Mayura Metal Card is the closer fit. More travel options in our guide to credit cards for travel in India.
