The SBI Card Miles Elite charges ₹4,999 plus GST as a joining fee and the same ₹4,999 again at renewal. SBI Card waives the renewal fee if you spend ₹15L in the previous year, which is about ₹1,25,000 a month. If your card spend sits below that, treat ₹4,999 as a real yearly cost that your rewards have to clear first.
Things to Keep in Mind
The value of a 'Travel Credit' varies depending on the redemption method: ₹1 for air mile/hotel point conversion, ₹0.50 for travel bookings on the portal, and ₹0.25 for catalogue products.
Travel Credits are not earned on several key categories like Fuel, Utilities, Insurance, and Wallet Uploads.
