Frequently Asked Questions

No. The card has no domestic or international lounge benefit.

What does the BoB Snapdeal credit card actually give you?

Here is the short answer to the most searched question. For ₹249 a year, you get a Bank of Baroda RuPay card that earns reward points on everything, including UPI. There is no airport lounge access.

The earn grid, per ₹100, as confirmed on BOBCARD's page in October 2026:

  • Snapdeal site and app: 20 Reward Points, about 5%.
  • Online shopping and departmental stores: 10 points, about 2.5%, capped at 2,000 points a statement.
  • Everything else, UPI included: 4 points, about 1%.

BOBCARD does not state a point value in our record. Its own "5% on Snapdeal" claim implies ₹0.25 a point, and that is what the percentages above assume. Users redeem the points against their statement and often call it cashback.

Nobody gets it for Snapdeal

In six threads, users say they rarely or never shop on Snapdeal, so the 5% headline does little. What they keep the card for is about 1% back on RuPay UPI payments with no cap stated. On a ₹249 card, that base rate covers the fee at roughly ₹2,500 a month of spend, about ₹294 with GST.

The online rate is the second use. Since it stops at 2,000 points a statement, put up to ₹20,000 of online and departmental spend here each cycle, then switch cards. Users report that tax and government payments on UPI earn nothing, so do not route those through it.

The one-card rule

This is the warning that comes up most. Four threads say BOBCARD limits how many of its cards you can hold. Users who took Snapdeal first and later wanted BOBCARD ETERNA say they had to close Snapdeal, wait, and were sometimes offered a lower card. BOBCARD does not publish the rule in our record, so treat it as reported experience.

The order matters:

  • If Eterna or another premium BOBCARD is your goal, apply for that first.
  • If you already hold a BOBCARD, ask about adding Snapdeal as an extra card. Users report getting it lifetime free this way, and one says theirs was converted to lifetime free by email.
  • Check the card you receive. One user chose RuPay Snapdeal on an FD-backed application and got a Visa BOBCARD EASY instead.

The welcome, and the fuel waiver

New cardholders get 500 bonus points on ₹5,000 of spend within 60 days, and a Snapdeal voucher of up to ₹500 if they use the card within 30 days of issue. The fuel surcharge waiver is 1% on fills between ₹400 and ₹5,000, up to ₹250 a month.

Who SNAPDEAL BOBCARD suits, and who should skip it

Yes, if you want a cheap RuPay card for everyday UPI payments, and especially if you already bank with BOBCARD and can get it free as an extra card.

No, if you are planning to apply for Eterna, or if you want a shopping co-brand you will use. For Amazon shoppers, Amazon Pay ICICI does that job better. If you are weighing the upgrade route, read our BOBCARD Eterna review.
