Frequently Asked Questions

₹49 + GST a month, about ₹58 with tax. It is reversed for a month when your spend in the next calendar month is above ₹5,000.

₹5,000: the number that makes DigiSmart free

DigiSmart does not charge a yearly fee. It charges ₹49 + GST every month, about ₹58 with tax. That month's fee is reversed if you spend more than ₹5,000 in the next calendar month. Exactly ₹5,000 does not count.

So the card has two very different costs. Spend ₹6,000 on it every month and you pay close to nothing. Spend ₹2,000 a month and you pay about ₹694 a year for a card that has no base rewards at all.

This page covers DigiSmart only. Standard Chartered's Smart Credit Card is a separate product that pays flat cashback.

What the partner discounts are worth at full stretch

DigiSmart earns nothing on ordinary spends. Its value is a set of capped partner discounts, and Blinkit, Zomato and Yatra need the promo code DIGISMART at checkout:

  • Blinkit: 10% off, up to ₹1,000 a month, 5 transactions a month.
  • Zomato: 10% off, up to ₹150 per order, 5 orders a month.
  • INOX: buy one, get one, up to ₹200 a ticket, 2 a month, Saturdays and Sundays only.
  • Yatra: booking discounts once per quarter per category, each with its own cap.

The best possible month is ₹1,000 + ₹750 + ₹400 = ₹2,150, before Yatra. Getting there takes work. The full Blinkit cap needs ₹10,000 of orders over 5 baskets, about ₹2,000 each. The full Zomato saving needs 5 orders of ₹1,500 or more. Small orders use up a slot and save very little.

One more cost: rent payments (MCC 6513) carry a 1% processing fee plus taxes.

Life after the Myntra offer

Most people who got DigiSmart got it for 20% off Myntra. Users say that offer ended around March 2025, and the sentiment around the card turned sharply negative after that. Our sentiment report rates it negative across 15 threads, and the most common advice is to close it or replace it.

Users also report that Zomato and Blinkit were cut back. Standard Chartered's own page still listed both in October 2026, with the caps above, so check the offer terms on the bank page rather than an older review.

The limit-cut problem

Several users report sudden credit limit cuts, in one case from over ₹3.6 lakh to ₹10,000. A small limit makes the ₹5,000 reversal harder to reach and pushes your utilisation up on every statement. Users also mention wrong charges and slow fee reversals, so read each statement before you pay it.

Should you keep DigiSmart, or close it?

Keep it if you already spend above ₹5,000 a month on the card and order on Blinkit and Zomato often enough to use the caps. In that case it is a cheap side card for groceries, food and weekend movies.

Close it, or skip it, if you hold it mainly for Myntra, spend under ₹5,000 a month, or want cashback on everything you buy. For online shopping, the Cashback SBI Card is the replacement Reddit users suggest most often in our report. Before you close, pay the full balance including the latest monthly fee and get a written no-dues confirmation.
