Things to Keep in Mind

No reward points are reported on cash transactions, fuel spends, rent payments, e-wallet loading, or government transactions.

Insurance-category rewards are capped at 250 points per card per month.

The Amazon e-voucher requires spending at least ₹3,000 within 30 days of card issuance.

The RuPay variant's UPI-linking facility should not be assumed for the Visa variant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our record lists no joining or annual fee, and users call it LTF. The Visa Signet bank page was not checked, so confirm the fee on your offer before accepting.

Who Visa Signet is really for

Visa Signet suits someone who wants a free backup card for Federal Bank's sale-day discounts and has no plans to apply for Scapia. If you want meaningful rewards, lounges without a spend target, or UPI on credit, this is the wrong card.

Federal Bank sells Signet on three networks. This page covers the Visa one. Only the Rupay Signet Credit Card can be linked to UPI, whatever older listings, including our own record, say about the Visa card.

Federal Bank's Visa Signet page was blocked when we tried to check it in October 2026. The figures below come from our database, with the lounge rule and welcome voucher taken from Federal's Mastercard Signet page. Confirm them on your offer.

Points are counted per ₹200

Rewards are per ₹200, not per ₹100, which halves what they look like at first glance.

  • Electronics and apparel: 3 points per ₹200.
  • Entertainment: 2 points per ₹200.
  • Other eligible spends: 1 point per ₹200.
  • Insurance earns, but is capped at 250 points a month.
  • Cash, fuel, rent, e-wallet loads and government payments earn nothing.

Federal does not state the point value in our data, so we cannot give you a percentage. Users call the base rate very low. On ₹20,000 of ordinary spend in a month, you would collect just 100 points.

One lounge visit, and only after ₹20,000

On Federal's Mastercard Signet page, you get 1 domestic lounge visit in a quarter, and only after spending ₹20,000 in the quarter before. That is at most 4 a year. Users who held Signet for its lounges call this a devaluation, and one points out that the higher Imperio and Celesta cards give more visits per quarter. No international lounges are listed.

New cardholders get an Amazon e-voucher for spending ₹3,000 within 30 days. The Mastercard page puts it at ₹200. A July 2026 thread says the old movie ticket offers are gone, while the Swiggy, Zomato and shopping app offers remain.

Signet blocks Scapia, users say

This is the dealbreaker in our report. Users say holding a Federal core card like Signet stops you from getting Scapia, Federal's zero-forex travel card. One user tried for Scapia for two years and was approved for Signet instead. This is user-reported, not a published rule, but if Scapia is what you want, think before you activate Signet.

The other common story is getting Signet when you applied for Celesta or Imperio, sometimes with a limit as high as ₹4 lakh, sometimes as low as ₹10,000. Users describe upgrading to Imperio or Celesta after a limit increase, though Federal publishes no threshold.

Monzy's verdict on Visa Signet

Keep it if it was offered free, you already have a Scapia plan sorted or do not want Scapia, and you will pull it out on Federal Bank sale days. As a zero-cost drawer card, it does no harm.

Do not apply for it on purpose if you want lounges or rewards. The Visa Imperio Credit Card one tier up pays more on groceries and healthcare, and users looking for a free sale-day card often prefer ICICI Coral's more frequent shopping tie-ups.
