Yes Bank Wellness Credit CardNo. It costs ₹1,499 + GST to join and ₹1,499 + GST each year, and our data does not confirm a spend-based waiver. Get any lifetime-free promise from an agent in writing.
YES Bank sells two health cards with almost the same name. Wellness Plus costs ₹1,499 + GST a year and adds 12 fitness sessions a month and domestic lounge visits. The cheaper YES Bank Wellness costs ₹499 + GST and has neither.
On medicines, both cards point the same way. Wellness Plus pays 30 points per ₹200 at chemist and pharmaceutical stores, against 20 on the plain card. So the real question is not the pharmacy rate. It is whether you will use the gym sessions, check-ups and lounges enough to justify the extra ₹1,000. Union Bank's JCB Wellness and Health cards are unrelated products.
Users also report being pitched one card and handed the other, or being promised lifetime free by third-party agents. Check the card name and fee on your welcome letter before you activate.
All rates are per ₹200. Our data reports a value of ₹0.10 a point when you redeem through the catalogue or gift vouchers, and we do not have figures for other routes.
A family spending ₹4,000 a month on medicines earns 600 points a month, or 7,200 a year. At ₹0.10 a point that is about ₹720. That alone does not cover the ₹1,770 fee with GST. Also check that your chemist codes as a pharmacy; hospital counters and online health apps may not.
This is the complaint users raise most. The card gives 12 complimentary fitness sessions a month, covering gym, yoga and Zumba at partner venues. Users say partner and location limits apply, so it works as a top-up to your routine, not a replacement for a membership.
The second complaint is booking. Users report that the YES Bank app does not explain clearly which partner runs the sessions or how to book doctor consultations. Ask customer care which venues near you are included before you count on the benefit.
Some material mentions ₹25 lakh of emergency hospitalisation cover. It conflicts with the benefits table, so treat it as unconfirmed and do not drop your health insurance because of it.
Get it if you will actually book the annual check-ups, use some of the monthly sessions at a venue near you and take a few lounge visits. Add about ₹720 a year of chemist points on ₹4,000 a month of medicines, and the fee can pay for itself.
If you only want points on medicines, the ₹499 plain Wellness card does that job for less. Users who mainly want a fitness pass tend to prefer SBI Card PULSE, and Apollo shoppers lean towards the Apollo SBI Card. The thread count behind this sentiment is modest, about 15 discussions.
