What is the Axis Bank NEO credit card limit?

That is the most searched question about NEO, and the honest answer is that Axis does not publish one. Your limit is set from your income, your existing credit and your bureau history, not by the card. Users often ask Axis to upgrade NEO to another card, and one Reddit thread reports a smooth upgrade to Flipkart Axis with a 785 CIBIL score.

The rest of this page is about what NEO actually gives you, because that is where the card wins or loses.

Axis NEO credit card benefits, with their limits

NEO is a discount card more than a rewards card. Each perk has a cap or a minimum order:

  • Zomato: flat ₹120 off with code AXISNEO, on orders of ₹499 or more, twice a month.
  • Blinkit: 10% off, up to ₹250, on orders of ₹750 or more, once a month.
  • BookMyShow: 10% off, up to ₹100 a month.
  • Utility bills through Paytm: 5% off, up to ₹150 a month.
  • Welcome benefit: 100% cashback up to ₹300 on your first utility bill.

Max out every one and the ceiling is ₹740 a month: ₹240 on Zomato, ₹250 on Blinkit, ₹100 on movies and ₹150 on bills. Most people use only one or two of these, so expect well under that. Everything else earns 1 EDGE Reward point per ₹200, and Axis does not state what a point is worth on NEO. Utility and telecom, education, rent, wallet, government and insurance spends earn no points.

Why many users call the discounts thin

The top complaint is the minimum order. Users say ₹499 on Zomato and ₹750 on Blinkit are hard to reach when you order for one, and platform and delivery fees eat into the saving. Some also report that movie perks now need around ₹25,000 of spend in a quarter. The users who like NEO tend to order for a family or group, which makes the minimums easy.

Axis NEO RuPay and UPI

The RuPay variant links to UPI apps, so you can pay at shops that only take QR codes. One catch: since 1 July 2025 the Zomato offer does not apply when you pay through UPI with the RuPay NEO card. Pay with the card itself on Zomato.

Is NEO really lifetime free?

Not by default. The bank page lists a ₹250 + GST joining fee, no annual fee in the first year and ₹250 + GST from the second year. Many users get it lifetime free through pre-approved offers or partners such as CRED. If a physical KYC agent asks you to pay a "card charge" on a lifetime-free offer, as one user reports, do not pay; confirm through Axis directly.

Monzy's take on Axis NEO

Take NEO if it comes lifetime free and you order on Zomato or Blinkit for more than one person. It also counts as an Axis card for bank offers during big sales, which is why many users keep it in a drawer.

Skip it if you would pay the fee and order solo, or if it would take one of your Axis card slots that a better card could use. Users who pay a lot of bills prefer the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card. For a longer holder view, read our Axis NEO review.
