Frequently Asked Questions

10% back at Patanjali on bills of ₹500 or more up to ₹750 a month, 1 point per ₹100 elsewhere, 4 domestic lounge visits a year, BookMyShow buy-one-get-one and UPI on RuPay.

The ₹750 ceiling on a ₹1,499 card

The catch with Patanjali Swarn is simple: you pay ₹1,499 + GST a year, and the headline 10% at Patanjali stops at ₹750 a month. The most the Patanjali benefit can return is ₹9,000 a year, and only if you spend ₹7,500 at Patanjali every single month.

It is still worth a look if your household already buys groceries, personal care and Ayurvedic products from Patanjali in steady amounts, and you want a RuPay card that also works on UPI.

This is RBL's card, not PNB's

Three Patanjali cards turn up in search results. This page covers the Swarn card issued by RBL Bank on RuPay. It is not the older Patanjali RuPay card from Punjab National Bank, and it is not RBL's other Patanjali card, Vishisht.

That matters because most Reddit complaints about a "Patanjali credit card", such as branches asking you to open a savings account or annual fees charged after the waiver was met, are about the PNB card. We found almost no reviews from people who hold the RBL Swarn, so treat it as unproven by users.

How the 10% works

  • 10% on Patanjali online and offline purchases, but only on transactions of ₹500 or more.
  • Capped at ₹750 a month, which you hit at ₹7,500 of Patanjali spend.
  • Everything else earns 1 reward point per ₹100. Our record does not give a rupee value for these points, so we are not printing a rate.
  • Offline UPI payments under ₹2,000 earn no points at all, and excluded categories earn nothing.

Two small bills of ₹400 each earn nothing at 10%. One bill of ₹800 earns ₹80. If you shop at Patanjali, combine purchases into one bill.

Our record also does not say whether the 10% arrives as statement cashback or as points. Check your first statement.

What ₹1,769 a year needs

With GST, the fee is about ₹1,769. To cover it from Patanjali alone, you need about ₹17,700 a year there, roughly ₹1,475 a month in bills of ₹500 or more. Our record does not show a spend-based fee waiver, so ask RBL before you apply.

The rest of the package helps a little:

  • 6,000 reward points on your first ₹1,000 of spend, credited only after you pay the annual fee.
  • 4 domestic lounge visits a year, with a quarterly spend condition whose amount is not in our record.
  • A buy-one-get-one offer on BookMyShow.
  • Annual milestones at ₹3 lakh and ₹5 lakh. RBL revised these thresholds on 10 May 2026 for cards issued on or after that date, and our record does not list what they pay.

Is Patanjali Swarn right for you?

Apply if you spend ₹1,500 to ₹7,500 a month at Patanjali, can keep each bill above ₹500, and will use the UPI link. At that level the card pays for itself.

Skip it if Patanjali is an occasional purchase. A free RuPay card such as Kiwi covers UPI without a fee, and users who compared Patanjali cards with Tata Neu preferred the Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank card for broader grocery and UPI rewards.
