Frequently Asked Questions

Only as a paid feature. While it is active, you get up to 2 airport lounge visits per 90 days; the base card has none.

₹49 a quarter: the number that decides LIT

LIT has no joining fee and no annual fee. But almost every benefit people talk about is a paid feature you switch on, priced per quarter. Features start at ₹49, last 90 days and renew on their own unless you turn them off. The fuel waiver is ₹49 a quarter and the milestone cashback is ₹199. So the real question is not "is it free?" but "which features pay for themselves?"

A simple test: multiply a feature's quarterly price by four and compare it with what you realistically earn in that category in a year. A ₹199 feature costs ₹796 a year. If you would not earn well above that, skip it.

What the features actually give you

  • 10X rewards: "up to 10X" Reward Points on online and offline spends. AU does not publish the base rate, the spend unit or what a point is worth, so we cannot give you a real percentage.
  • 5% grocery and apparel cashback, capped at ₹500.
  • Milestone cashback (₹199): 5% after ₹10,000 of retail spend in 30 days, capped at ₹500; 2% after ₹15,000, capped at ₹1,000.
  • Lounge: up to 2 airport lounge visits per 90 days while the feature is active.
  • Fuel (₹49): 1% surcharge waiver on fills of ₹400 to ₹5,000.
  • Extras: ZEE5 and Amazon Prime 3-month memberships, and a ₹200 Amazon voucher for ₹50.

Groceries are LIT's strongest lane. ₹10,000 of grocery and apparel spend at 5% reaches the feature's ₹500 cap; AU's terms set the period for that cap, so check it before you count on a quarterly total.

The charges users did not expect

Users describe feature charges they did not expect on their statement, such as one LTF holder's ₹59 "hidden charge", and one thread calls the reward features a "fraud". Auto-renewal is the likely cause. AU also applies penalty clauses if you choose a feature and miss its spend threshold, and it says it may change or withdraw features at its discretion. Set a reminder every 90 days and read each feature's terms before you switch it on.

Users also report that insurance, NPS, gift cards and government payments often do not earn or count toward milestones, and that points lose value at redemption, Swiggy vouchers in particular. Compare rupees per point across the catalogue before you redeem.

Getting approved at AU

The loudest complaint in our sentiment report is the application itself: vague "verification failed" rejections, repeat document requests and template replies from support. It is an AU process issue rather than a LIT rule. Keep your address consistent across PAN, Aadhaar and your credit report, and stay reachable for the verification call.

Is LIT worth the feature juggling?

Yes, if you enjoy managing a card and have steady grocery or apparel spend for the 5% feature. Pick one or two features, track them, and LIT can beat many free cards in that lane.

If you want cashback without add-ons, a set-and-forget card like Amazon Pay ICICI is easier. One user reports switching from LIT to ixigo AU. See our AU Bank issuer guide for the rest of the lineup.
