Is the First Classic Credit Card Worth Having in Your Pocket?
₹0 joining and ₹0 annual fee is a real offer, and the "up to 10X Reward Points" headline is also real. But these do not mean that you should treat IDFC First Classic as a primary rewards card. 10 Reward Points per ₹200, at the usual ₹0.25 a point, is about 1.25%. That is the dining, travel, international, and birthday rate. It is not 10% cashback. But if you put your everyday mixed spend through this card, you sit closer to 0.375%. That does not behave like a rewards engine.
Monzy's Verdict on FIRST Classic Card by IDFC
The card only makes sense as a zero-risk secondary card: bank sale discounts, roadside assistance in the glovebox, and railway lounge access in months you already clear ₹20,000. Use it if the fee is already ₹0 and you will actually use those perks. Do not pick it because "10X" sounds like 10%.
