Bank of Baroda Credit Cards (2026): Which BOBCARD to Get

Picking a Bank of Baroda credit card feels harder than it should. There are 11 BOBCARD cards, the fees changed on 1 September 2026, and many people apply for one card and receive another. You want a card that pays you back on what you already spend, without a fee or approval surprise. This page sorts it out: a quick-pick table, rupee maths for each kind of spender, the lounge and UPI rules, and one clear pick for each.

My honest take on Bank of Baroda credit cards

Search for a Bank of Baroda or BOB credit card and the card you get is issued by BOBCARD. Your savings account sits with the bank; the card, its app, customer care and approval sit with BOBCARD. That split explains why a branch promise sometimes does not match the form you e-sign.

Two numbers matter first. A BOBCARD point is worth ₹0.20 on some cards (Easy, Select, Prime) and about ₹0.25 on others (Tiara, IRCTC, and Eterna per our records), so "5X" can mean 1% or 1.25%. Always convert to rupees. Then the waiver: BOBCARD Premier is free in year one and then ₹1,000, waived at ₹1.2 lakh a year, about ₹10,000 a month. Eterna needs ₹2.5 lakh.

What people get wrong: users report BOBCARD lets you hold one card. Holding Easy can block a later Eterna application, so decide your final card before you apply. Several users also asked for Eterna or Premier and found Easy in the app after approval, so check the card name on the consent form. Our Bank of Baroda issuer guide has the wider story.

BOB Eterna credit card: worth it above ₹2.5 lakh

BOBCARD Eterna earns 15 points per ₹100 on dining, online shopping, travel and movies, about 3.75%. A ₹3 lakh year with ₹1.8 lakh in those categories earns about 30,600 points: ₹7,650 at ₹0.25, or ₹6,120 at ₹0.20, with the fee waived. The catch is not the maths. Users with strong scores describe rejections, reversed approvals and fraud blocks on large or foreign payments, so keep it as a second card. Our Eterna detailed review goes deeper.

Bank of Baroda lifetime free credit cards and the FD route

Only two BOBCARDs are lifetime free as standard. BOBCARD Prime is issued against a Bank of Baroda FD, so approval does not hinge on your CIBIL score, but it earns about 0.4%; treat it as a credit-building tool. BOBCARD USFB Elite is offered to Ujjivan Small Finance Bank customers, users report. Our record lists a ₹30,000 minimum FD for Prime; confirm it at your branch. BOBCARD Easy is free in year one, then ₹500 + GST, waived at ₹35,000 a year. Compare other banks in our FD-backed credit cards guide and the lifetime free credit cards directory.

BOB HPCL credit card and lounge access

HPCL ENERGIE BOBCARD earns 24 points per ₹150 at HPCL. On ₹6,000 a month that is about ₹240 in points, at the ₹0.25 a point our record assumes, plus a ₹60 surcharge waiver, about ₹3,600 a year against a ₹499 fee. Users say paying through HP Pay protects the rate. See the fuel credit cards directory for other pumps.

For lounges, Eterna and Tiara offer unlimited domestic visits on a previous-quarter spend gate (₹75,000 per our records for Tiara, user-reported for Eterna). That is ₹25,000 a month. Spend less and Premier's 1 visit a quarter on ₹20,000, per our records, is easier. Compare banks in our lounge access directory.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bank of Baroda credit card lifetime free?

Only Prime and USFB Elite are lifetime free as standard. Easy, Select, Premier and Eterna are free in year one since 1 September 2026, then waived on annual spend of ₹35,000, ₹70,000, ₹1.2 lakh and ₹2.5 lakh.

Which BOB credit card is best?

For most people who spend ₹2.5 lakh or more a year, BOBCARD Eterna. Below about ₹1.2 lakh a year, Premier is easier to keep free.

What are the BOB Easy credit card benefits?

1% back on departmental stores and movies, capped at 1,000 points (₹200) a cycle, and 0.2% elsewhere, with points at ₹0.20.

Why is my BOB credit card limit so low?

Users widely report starting limits of ₹10,000 to ₹35,000 on Easy and Select, even with strong scores elsewhere. Pay on time for several months, then ask BOBCARD for a review.

This is my honest read, not formal financial advice. BOBCARD changes fees and rules often, so check the MITC and Key Fact Statement before you sign.
